Call for applicants for computational biologist at Agricultural Research Organization (Israel)
The ideal candidate is a computational biologist with experience in biological mathematical modeling and relational biology/complex systems biology to integrate different levels of information for the understanding of how biological systems function. The following research projects are expected:
1. Determination of selection index and optimization of the breeding scheme in cattle at the genomic selection era.
2. Implementation of models for genomic selection in cattle.
3. Study of management decisions on the basis of herd-book data.
4. Integration of daily records in genomic evaluations of cattle.
5. Detection of gene networks affecting economic traits.
6. Economic evaluation of production in cattle and other livestock.
